Why do you list smaller wedding packages?I feel every bride and groom deserve to have beautiful images no matter their budget or wedding style, so I decided to focus on smaller events. This also allows me to spend more time making sure your images are amazing. Will I shoot larger weddings? Absolutely, please Contact Me and we can discuss your big day in detail.
I really love your style! Do you shoot events like parties, or corporate functions?Absolutely! Birthdays, stag & doe, bridal showers, baby showers can be easily covered. Hiring a photographer to cover your event allows everyone to enjoy the party. I am also available for corporate or charity functions. Please Contact Me for a quote.
My event takes place outside of the Ottawa Valley, are you able to photograph my special day?Absolutely! I am able to travel to most of Ontario and select Quebec cities for the cost of travel and housing in addition to the photography package chosen. This also includes portrait sessions. Quote available upon request.
What is included in my Birth Photography Session?Your customized birth photography session includes an in person pre-birth consultation, my time during the stages of labour and delivery, and at least 1 hour after the birth to capture those precious first few bonding moments and post processing. The type of photographs I take for you are entirely dependent on you and will show as much or as little as you desire. Some moments during your labour and delivery that can be photographed: the journey through your labour, your child's first cry, meeting baby for the first time, weighing the baby, cutting the cord, little details like hospital bracelets, tiny fingers, tiny toes and congratulatory gifts. I promise to work in a discreet and photo-journalistic style to bring to you photographs that capture the raw emotions of your child's wondrous entry to the world.
What Should Be Worn In My Portrait Session?
Please wear something that reflects your personality and that you are comfortable in. If you feel that you need help choosing an outfit, please do not hesitate to contact me. Here are a few guidelines to help you choose your wardrobe choice(s):
- Avoid distracting numbers, letters, logos and bright patterns
- Ensure clothing is free of wrinkles, rips and stains
- If more than one person is in the photograph, complimentary or matching shades of colours work best
How much editing is done to my photographs?Post-production editing includes only the following basic enhancements: colour correction, cropping, sharpening, small blemishes removed, and artistic filters. Contouring, reshaping, tattoo removal, tan lines, wrinkles, heavy acne, object removal, and other intensive Photoshop activities are not included and will incur an additional fee. Please see the À la carte pricing page for retouching fees. It is at the photographer's discretion to decide what constitutes intensive Photoshop work and will discuss each edit beyond the basics with the client.
What If I Want My Photographs Done Indoors?
Studio lighting and backdrops (white & black) are available at our home studio location.
What Does The Package Fee Cover?
The cost of your package covers the photography session, post-production, prints, albums, reproduction permission release for high resolution images and materials used to present your final images to you. Any additional products or services not listed in the package of your choice will be extra. Payment is due before the session starts.
What Comes on My CD of Photographs?
If your package includes photographs on CD, the CD you receive following your session will contain the following based on your package details: high resolution images (amount determined by package and/or contract) and a text file giving you permission to reprint the images at the location of your choice. Also included on your high resolution CD - web friendly files which are watermarked for you to share digitally through email, personal and social networking websites.
In offering digital negatives for print, I strive to make every effort that the images will print in the manner in which they were edited. Even though I use professional grade calibration tools and monitors to ensure colours are correct and that you will be able to print with ease - I am not responsible for any difficulties for printing jobs outside of my preferred list of printers.
When Will My Photographs Be Ready?
Unedited proofs will be online within 72 hours of the session in their own password protected gallery which remains online for 14 days. During this 2 week period, you as the client are required to choose the photographs for final production. Final delivery of product will occur within 30-60 days from final production choice.
What If I Have To Reschedule?
In the event you need to reschedule your session, I require 24 hours of advance notice. Emergency rescheduling will be taken into consideration. In the event of a no-show or less than 24 hours notice, you will be invoiced a fee of $60.00. During your session, our young models may no longer co-operate. If this happens, I will work around your child's needs; even if it means coming back another day. I understand that naps, potty breaks, snacks, or even meltdowns happen and this mid-session rescheduling is at no cost to you.
I won a photography session prize at a sponsored event! How do I claim it?Congratulations! To claim your photography session prize, please contact me with; the details of the event you won the prize at, the type of session you are looking for and when you would like to book your session. Event prizes have no "cash value" and cannot be applied towards a "package or wedding event". Event prizes also cannot be applied towards already booked sessions. All prize sessions must be redeemed by the date specified on the prize voucher (1 year redemption period) .
Will you use my photos online? What if I don't want my photographs used?By contracting my services (either paid or time for print), you agree to the use of any photographs taken during your session by the studio. Miaou!Photography & Weblivion, Inc. reserve the right to display any photographs made in conjunction with the session as samples of its work for the purposes of exhibition, advertising, publication, instruction and/or professional competition. If you would like to opt-out from this part of your contract, there is a one time Non-Usage Fee of $750.
Who owns the copyright to the photographs taken?
The client acknowledges that copyright of all Works (as defined below) are and shall remain the sole property of Photographer or its designee(s). "Works" shall mean all work product, works of authorship, improvements, modifications and derivative works; made, conceived, expressed, written or authored by the Photographer, solely or jointly with others, in connection with any services performed.
The photographer or its designee(s) retains for life - reproduction and display rights to all Works for use in competition, promotional materials and any publication of an original manuscript or portfolio presentation for trade or other use.
The photographer hereby grants to Client a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty free license to reproduce and/or display the Works, provided Client complies with the condition that all such reproductions and/or displays are not intended for a commercial venture, unless otherwise stated via signed contract.
The photographer is hereby absolved from obtaining model, property, or other releases in connection with any of the photographs licensed herein unless specifically stated herein.
The client will indemnify the Photographer of liability and loss from any and all misuses of images by Client.
This agreement binds and inures to the benefit of Photographer, Client, and their respective heirs and legal representatives. The client may not assign or transfer this agreement or any rights granted hereunder. Client is liable for the performance of all payments and other obligations set forth in the sales contract. No amendment or waiver of any terms is binding unless set forth in writing and signed by the parties involved.
